Universal and E-Waste

Universal waste requirements established in 1995 by the US EPA provided regulations known as the Universal Waste Rule in order to promote the recycling and proper disposal of waste widely generated, which includes certain hazardous materials.

Universal wastes:

  • Bulbs (Lamps, Lights)

  • Mercury-Containing Equipment (thermostats, thermometers)
